What's this? It is a Young Americans for Freedom (YAF) club attempting to recruit members on the Palm Beach State College. The group says they were registered to be at the gathering and had planned for months. That didn't stop Olivia Ford-Morris from taking the legs out from under the group in an almost "I'm embarrassed you're here" kind of way.
"Pull it up", says Ford-Morris.
Why would she get so upset about a simple, little club trying to recruit members? Well ... because the group had literature created by The Heritage Foundation. You know who The Heritage Foundation is, don't you? It's the group that uses The Constitution as the basis for its political ideology. Or do you only know of left-leaning groups such as Media Matters, ACLU, AFL-CIO, or Americans United for Change?
"I was shocked and offended by her dishonesty. She outright denied giving me permission to table at Club Rush simply because she disagreed with my beliefs! The fact is, she was using her administrative power to silence the conservative oppostion." - Christine Beattie (Quote from NewsBusters.org)
The YAF club found two clubs that were NOT registered to be at the event. Funny, they could stay and recruit all day. College Administrator Olivia Ford-Morris didn't seem to mind, likely because the clubs were not anit-Obama.
Regardless of your political ideology, don't you think the local newspaper, The Palm Post , should be covering the story? The Palm Beach Post may not be a large newspaper, but it is still considered mass media. The newspaper, which is owned by Cox, has not responded to inquiries as to why is has not written a single word about the incident. What else are they covering?
